QUARTERBACK – Garrett Shrader, Syracuse, QB

 Sharder threw for three fourth-quarter touchdowns and a game-winning strike from 25 yards out in the Orange’s 32-29 win over Purdue. The passing needs to improve from 181 yards on 13-of-29 passing. But he also was the Orange’s leading rusher with 83 yards on 17 attempts. He kept the chain moving with 276 yards of offense.

RUNNING BACK – Will Shipley, Clemson, RB

On only 12 rushes, Shipley had a career-high 139 yards with two touchdowns in a 48-20 win over Louisiana Tech. Shipley became the first Clemson player since the 1950s to open a season with multiple rushing touchdowns in the first three games. He became the third ACC running back since 2000 to rush for multiple touchdowns in the first three games of a season. The running back recorded 175 all-purpose yards in the contest.

DEFENSIVE LINEMAN – Caleb Okechukwu, Syracuse, DL

 Syracuse’s big 4th quarter could not happen without Okechukwu’s play. He returned an interception for a touchdown. After teammate Jatius Geer hit Purdue QB Aidan O’Connell, Okechukwu caught an errant pass and returned it 17 yards for the Syracuse score to put the team up 10 points midway through the fourth quarter. Okechukwu also notched a pair of tackles in the win and led a run defense that held Purdue to 60 yards rushing.

DEFENSIVE BACK – Aydan White, NC State, CB

 White was named the Walter Camp National FBS Defensive Player of the Week for his role in the Wolfpack’s 27-14 win over Texas Tech. The cornerback had two interceptions; the first returned for 84 yards for a second-quarter touchdown. It was the seventh-longest interception return in school history. The second interception came in the fourth quarter to help seal the win. He had an all-around game with five total tackles and a sack.

 RECEIVER – Johnny Wilson, Florida State, WR

Wilson had a career-high seven catches, 149 yards, and two touchdowns in the Seminoles’ 35-31 win at Louisville. This was the highest single game receiving total by an ACC player thus far. Included was a career-long 69-yard catch. Both touchdowns came in the fourth quarter with the game still in the balance. His first touchdown tied the game, and the second was the game-winner. His 149 yards were the most receiving yards for a Seminole since 2019.
