Jordan Poole was recently traded for Chris Paul and is now a member of the Washington Wizards. He will be playing alongside Kyle Kuzma. It will be an exciting young duo to watch this season. The main reason for the Warriors trading Poole is his relationship with Draymond Green. Their relationship hasn’t been the same since Green punched Poole at the start of last season. Poole is also getting paid huge money, and the Warriors wanted to get off his salary to sign Green to an extension. This trade will give Poole a fresh start and allow him to be more ball dominant and in charge more on the offensive side of the ball.

There is no secret that Poole is gifted offensively. We’ve seen the past few seasons he’s constantly put up 20+ points. Poole will now, along with Kuzma, be able to dominate the ball offensively. He won’t have to differ from anyone as he did with Steph Curry and Klay Thompson. He will be free to play stress-free basketball. His confidence should rise to where it was when they won a championship.
He can fully tap into his offensive skill set. Poole increased his scoring every season with the Golden State Warriors. He averaged over 20 points per game last year, and I fully expect that number to rise again this season with the Wizards. Poole can make the all-star team in the future, especially being in the Eastern Conference, where it may be slightly easier for him to be an all-star Poole will be striving for revenge to show everyone who he is as a basketball player.

Poole is also very quick on his feet and has super lateral movement. The guard has the potential to be a solid defender. Poole’s hard work this offseason will define his greatness. He can either be upset by the trade or overcome the drama. As a player, you would rather play for the Warriors than the Wizards.

However, he is now in Washington, he has his money, and all that’s left is to fulfill his potential. The Wizards will allow Poole to take the next step. There is also no pressure to win in Washington like in Golden State. Poole should be able to play stress-free ball. This will be an extreme confidence boost for him and Kuzma, who are both under contract for the next few seasons. Who knows, maybe the duo can become one of the better ones in the entire association.
