The MLB 2026 World Series between the Milwaukee Brewers and the Tampa Bay Rays has been a one-sided affair up until Game 4. The Brewers came into this series undefeated in the postseason, winning eight straight games and leading the series 3-0. The Brewers were on the verge of becoming the only team in modern MLB history to go 9-0 in the postseason. Extra innings led to the bottom of the 12th inning, with the Rays down 3-2. A huge error by Joey Ortiz and huge singles one after another by Liam Hicks, Jonny DeLuca, Chandler Simpson, and Ben Williamson proved to be too much for Milwaukee to handle.

Stars of the game on both sides included Milwaukee’s rookie Cooper Pratt and Tampa Bay’s Chandler Simpson. The rookie Cooper Pratt had one of the best World Series performances by a rookie in major league history. The rookie shortstop got four hits in five at-bats and crushed a go-ahead extra-inning home run at the top of the 12th. The kid did literally all he could do and more. Chandler Simpson had three hits in five at-bats, with one of those being a crucial catalyst for sealing the victory in the face of defeat.

Game 5 at Tropicana Field should be electric. With star pitcher Jacob Misiorowski leading off for the Brewers, Milwaukee is looking to take the trophy home to Wisconsin for the first time ever. To do it, they will have to face a determined opponent that simply won’t give up in this Tampa Bay Rays team. The only way to find out is to tune in at 8:00 EST on Oct. 28th.
