LSU Women Move On To The Final Four

For the first time since the 2008 season, the LSU Women’s Basketball team is headed to the Final Four. The Tigers defeated the No 9 seed Miami Hurricanes in a 54- 42 point victory. Senior Alexis Morris led the Tigers with 21 points. Sophomore Angel Reese added 13 points and 8 rebounds. Reese reached a new SEC single-season record with her 32nd double-double.

It was a tough night for the Hurricanes. Sophomore Jasmyne Roberts was the only player from her team to reach double figures, with 22 points. The Hurricanes of Miami also went 0 for 15 from behind the arc while being outrebounded and committing 18 turnovers compared to LSU’s 12.

LSU Head coach Kim Mulkey does not doubt in her mind that the South Carolina Gamecocks will be in the Championship. Mulkey said, “South Carolina is going. I am telling you that flat out. I’d sure love to be in that championship with them.”

LSU Women's Basketball: Tigers beat Miami in Elite Eight

The LSU Tigers will travel to Dallas to face the winner of the Virginia Tech vs. Ohio State game. The game will take place at the American Airlines Center in Dallas on Friday, March 31st. The Tigers are +500 to win the national title, implying a 16.7% chance.
