After the addition of Sanada Fru, there was one hole left in Marquette’s starting lineup. Centerpiece Nigel James Jr. was in obvious need of a backcourt running mate. After the respective departures of Zaide Lowrey, Sean Jones and Tre Norman, the need for guard depth became apparent. Minessale, a 63% two point shooter, serves as a floor spacer for the slashing duo of James and Adrien Stevens. After Pearson’s last minute transfer, two roster spots remain to be filled for Shaka Smart and Marquette.
