Ja’Marr Chase, K’Lavon Chaisson & Grant Delpit Named Week 7 AFC Players of the Week

NEW YORK — Oct. 22, 2025 — Cincinnati Bengals wide receiver Ja’Marr Chase, New England Patriots linebacker K’Lavon Chaisson and Cleveland Browns safety Grant Delpit are the AFC Offensive, Defensive and Special Teams Players of the Week for games played in Week 7 (October 16, 19-20).

OFFENSE: WR JA’MARR CHASE, CINCINNATI BENGALS

  • Chase registered a league-best and single-game franchise-record 16 receptions for 161 yards and a touchdown in a 33-31 comeback victory on Thursday Night Football over the Steelers. This marked Chase’s second-career game with at least 15 catches and 150 receiving yards, tied for the most such games in NFL history.
  • This is the fifth-career Player of the Week award for Chase, the second-most by a Bengals player since he entered the league in 2021.
    • 2021: Weeks 7, 17
    • 2023: Week 5
    • 2024: Week 14
    • 2025: Week 7
  • Chase ties Patrick Peterson (five-time winner) for the second-most Player of the Week awards by a former LSU Tiger. Only Joe Burrow (seven) has more.

DEFENSE: LB K’LAVON CHAISSON, NEW ENGLAND PATRIOTS

  • Chaisson recorded three tackles, two sacks and recovered a fumble for a touchdown in New England’s 31-13 win at Tennessee. He is the first player with two sacks and a fumble recovery touchdown in a game since 2019.
  • This is Chaisson’s first-career Defensive Player of the Week award and he becomes the fifth Patriots linebacker to earn the honor in the past 10 seasons (2016-25), joining Dont’a Hightower (Week 6, 2016), Kyle Van Noy (Week 4, 2019), Matthew Judon (Week 5, 2022) and Josh Uche (Week 14, 2022).
  • Chaisson becomes the sixth former LSU linebacker to win Defensive Player of the Week, joining Deion Jones (three times), Devin White (three), Kwon Alexander, Liffort Hobley and Patrick Queen.

SPECIAL TEAMS: S GRANT DELPIT, CLEVELAND BROWNS

  • Delpit recorded two special teams tackles and a forced fumble in the Browns’ 31-6 win over the Dolphins. He was the only player to force a fumble on special teams in Week 7.
  • This is Delpit’s first-career Special Teams Player of the Week award and he becomes the fourth Browns non-kicker/punter to earn the honor in the past 10 seasons (2016-25), joining Jamie Meder (Week 16, 2016), Denzel Ward (Week 5, 2018) and Donovan Peoples-Jones (Week 13, 2022).
  • Delpit becomes the fifth former LSU non-kicker/punter to win Special Teams Player of the Week, joining Trindon Holliday (twice), Patrick Peterson (twice), Eddie Kennison and Jarvis Landry.
