The Ville, Led by Russ Smith and Montrezl Harrell, to Face Boston vs Cancer July 19 on FOX
LOUISVILLE (July 16, 2025) – The Basketball Tournament (TBT) – the $1 million, winner-take-all summer basketball event broadcast live on FOX Sports – will see the return of The Ville, a University of Louisville alumni team. The Ville will host the Louisville Regional at Freedom Hall from July 19-23.
TBT’s Louisville Regional is also sponsored by Russ Smith’s bourbon brand, Mr. & Mrs. Bourbon. The Ville, the top seed in the Louisville Region, is organized and coached by former Cardinal and 2013 Final Four MVP Luke Hancock.

The Ville will play Boston vs. Cancer on Saturday, July 19, at 12:30 p.m. ET on FOX Sports. If The Ville advances to the second round, they will face the winner of #4 seed Sideline Cancer and #5 seed Madd Katts on Sunday, July 20 at 7 p.m. ET on FS1.
The Louisville Regional championship game is Wednesday, July 23 at 9 p.m. ET on FS1.
The winner of the Louisville Regional will play the winner of the Lexington Regional in the quarterfinals on Monday, July 28, at 6 p.m. on FS1. The semifinals and $1 million winner-take-all championship game will be July 31 and Aug. 3.
As the official bourbon of TBT, Mr. and Mrs. will be the only bourbon available for purchase during the Louisville Regional. Fans who purchase premium seats for the games at Freedom Hall will also have the opportunity to enjoy Mr. and Mrs. in the Courtside Bourbon Club.
