Some have dubbed her the GOAT in gymnastics. Biles’s reputation is built on her consistent performances and remarkable longevity. Her feats include performing moves that no other gymnast have thought of, such as the Yurchenko double pike and the Biles which is a floor exercise move named after her. Each of these innovations has set new standards for what is possible in gymnastics. As of now, Biles’s has eight total Olympic medals, which include five golds, one silver, and two bronze. This includes the 2024 team medal. Biles’s achievements make her part of an exclusive group of gymnasts who have amassed eight or more medals.
She’s half way to breaking the all time gymnast women’s record and is only 27. Biles is slated to compete in four more events. She could have double digits by the end of the Paris games. If she performs at her best, she could potentially rise to the second position on the all-time list for women’s Olympic gymnastics medals.
