In a move that bolsters their future quarterback lineup, Eliah Drinkwitz and his coaching staff at Missouri secured a significant commitment on Thursday from 2025 four-star quarterback Matt Zollers. Zollers, hailing from Royersford, Pennsylvania, opted for Missouri over notable contenders such as Alabama, Georgia, and Penn State. Standing as the No. 3 quarterback prospect in the Class of 2025 according to On3, and earning the distinction as the highest-ranked recruit in Pennsylvania by 247Sports, Zollers brings a formidable skill set and potential to the Tigers’ program.

Zollers showcased his prowess during a remarkable junior season at Spring-Ford High School, amassing impressive statistics with 2,917 passing yards and 37 touchdowns through the air. His versatility was further highlighted by 420 rushing yards and seven touchdowns on the ground. Recognizing his stellar performance, Zollers earned a spot on the 2023 Class 6A All-State team and was honored as the offensive player of the year in his area. Prior to his commitment, Zollers embarked on visits to Alabama and Georgia earlier in the week, immersing himself in the recruitment process.
Ultimately, he made the decision to join Missouri’s ranks, positioning himself for a promising collegiate career. Notably, powerhouse programs like Penn State, Pittsburgh, as well as other notable Power Five institutions including Nebraska, Michigan State, and Maryland, were also vying for Zollers’ talents. With the impending graduation of Brady Cook, Zollers stands poised to make an early impact within Missouri’s quarterback cohort.

He will be joining a talented roster that includes Drew Pyne, a transfer from Arizona State, and Sam Horn, who has served as the backup quarterback over the past two seasons while also excelling on the baseball diamond as a pitcher. Zollers’ commitment ignites enthusiasm among Missouri’s fanbase, marking the highest-ranked quarterback recruit since Drew Lock in 2015. As anticipation builds for his arrival in Columbia, all eyes will be on Zollers as he navigates through his senior season at Spring-Ford, setting the stage for an exciting chapter in his collegiate journey.
