As the 2025 NFL season passes its midpoint, several head coaches are feeling the heat. From struggling offenses and locker room issues to questionable game management, these five coaches are facing growing pressure to turn things around — and fast.
5. Aaron Glenn — New York Jets (0–6)

Aaron Glenn’s tenure with the Jets is quickly unraveling. As the only winless team in the league, New York’s 0–6 start has fans and analysts openly questioning Glenn’s future. His game management has been a recurring problem. He ‘s been overly conservative with decisions in key moments, poor timeout usage, and even let the clock expire instead of taking a shot late in games. Add in mounting penalties, turnovers, and defensive breakdowns, and the Jets look increasingly undisciplined. If Glenn can’t deliver immediate results, his time in New York may soon be up.
4. Brian Daboll — New York Giants (1–5)
Just two years removed from being named Coach of the Year, Brian Daboll’s Giants have completely lost their footing. Following a disastrous 3–14 campaign in 2024 — including a franchise-worst 10 straight losses — the struggles have carried into 2025. The offense remains near the bottom of the league in scoring, plagued by turnovers, penalties, and a lack of rhythm. Rookie quarterback Jaxon Dart and running back Cam Skattebo have provided flashes of hope. But overall, the Giants continue to look disorganized. Unless Daboll can spark improvement in both discipline and execution, his earlier success may not save him from growing calls for change.
3. Jonathan Gannon — Arizona Cardinals (2–4)

After a promising 2–0 start, Jonathan Gannon’s Cardinals have dropped four straight and now sit at the bottom of the NFC West. The offense has gone flat, struggling to create big plays or sustain drives, while the defense has looked increasingly fatigued. Gannon also drew unwanted attention after a heated sideline confrontation with running back Emari Demercado — an incident that resulted in a $100,000 fine and raised questions about his composure. If he can’t stop the skid soon, his tenure in Arizona could be cut short.
2. John Harbaugh — Baltimore Ravens (1–5)
For the first time in his long career, John Harbaugh’s job may truly be in jeopardy. The Ravens have stumbled out of the gate with a 1–5 start, their worst since he took over in 2008. Baltimore’s defense, once a hallmark of the franchise, ranks last in points allowed per game and has been torched both on the ground and through the air. Harbaugh’s reluctance to shake up his coaching staff or adapt his strategies has frustrated fans and analysts alike. Without a drastic turnaround and renewed accountability, even a Super Bowl–winning coach like Harbaugh may find himself on the chopping block.
1. Mike McDaniel — Miami Dolphins (1–5)

Just a couple ago, Mike McDaniel was praised as one of the NFL’s brightest offensive minds. Now, his Dolphins are reeling. Miami’s 1–5 record reflects deeper problems — a leaky defense giving up big plays, an offense that has lost its spark, and growing disunity in the locker room. Quarterback Tua Tagovailoa’s public criticism of teammates for missing meetings highlighted a troubling lack of discipline and leadership under McDaniel’s watch. If he can’t restore order, consistency, and creativity soon, one of the league’s most promising young coaches could be facing a swift exit.
