Bijan Robinson, Byron Young & Brandon Aubrey Named September NFC Players of the Month

NEW YORK — Oct. 2, 2025 — Atlanta Falcons running back Bijan Robinson, Los Angeles Rams linebacker Byron Young and Dallas Cowboys kicker Brandon Aubrey are the NFC Players of the Month for September (Weeks 1-4).

OFFENSE: RB BIJAN ROBINSON, ATLANTA FALCONS

  • Robinson led the NFL with 584 scrimmage yards, ranked fifth with 314 rushing yards, ranked second among running backs with 270 receiving yards and added two touchdowns (one rushing, one receiving) in September. He was the only running back to record at least 110 scrimmage yards in each of the first four weeks.
  • This is Robinson’s first-career Player of the Month honor. He is the third Falcons running back to earn Offensive Player of the Month honors, joining Jamal Anderson (November, 1998) and Devonta Freeman (October, 2015).
  • Robinson is the third former Texas running back to earn Offensive Player of the Month, joining Priest Holmes  (October, 2002 and October, 2004) and Ricky Williams (October, 2001).

DEFENSE: LB BYRON YOUNG, LOS ANGELES RAMS

  • Young recorded 23 tackles, seven tackles for loss, five sacks and had one forced fumble in the month of September. He was one of two players to record at least one sack in each of the first four weeks.

  • This is Young’s first-career Player of the Month honor. He is the first Ram to win Defensive Player of the Month since Aaron Donald (December, 2021) and he joins Roman Phifer (September, 1995) as the only Rams linebackers to win the award.
  • Young is the fourth former University of Tennessee player to earn Defensive Player of the Month honors, joining Pro Football Hall of Famer Reggie White (twice), Albert Haynesworth (September, 2008) and Chris Mims (November, 1992).

SPECIAL TEAMS: K BRANDON AUBREY, DALLAS COWBOYS

  • Aubrey recorded 38 points, including all 11 of his extra point attempts and all nine of his field goal attempts, the most makes without a miss in the NFL in September. In Week 2, he recorded a 64-yard field goal – tied for the fourth-longest field goal in NFL history – and became the first player ever to convert a game-tying field goal with no time remaining in the fourth quarter and a game-winning field goal with no time remaining in overtime in the same game.

  • This marks the fourth-career Player of the Month honor for Aubrey, who won the Award in October and December of 2023 and September last season.
