Puka Nacua, Quinyon Mitchell & Josh Blackwell Named Week 4 NFC Players of the Week

NEW YORK — Oct. 1, 2025 — Los Angeles Rams wide receiver Puka Nacua, Philadelphia Eagles cornerback Quinyon Mitchell and Chicago Bears defensive back Josh Blackwelll are the NFC Offensive, Defensive and Special Teams Players of the Week for games played in Week 4 (September 25, 28-29).

OFFENSE: WR PUKA NACUA, LOS ANGELES RAMS

  • Nacua had 13 receptions for a career-high 170 yards and one touchdown in the Rams’ 27-20 win over Indianapolis, the most receiving yards by any player in a game this season.
  • Nacua has 42 receptions this season, tied with Cooper Kupp (2022 with the Los Angeles Rams) and Michael Thomas (2018 with New Orleans) for the most receptions by a player in his team’s first four games of a season in NFL history.
  • This is the second-career Offensive Player of the Week Award for Nacua, previously winning the award in Week 16 of the 2023 season. He joins Pro Football Hall of Famer Isaac Bruce (four-time winner) as the only Rams wide receiver to win Offensive Player of the Week multiple times.
  • Nacua becomes the fifth former BYU player to win Offensive Player of the Week multiple times, joining Pro Football Hall of Famer Steve Young (12-time winner), Taysom Hill (twice), Jim McMahon (twice) and Marc Wilson (twice).

DEFENSE: CB QUINYON MITCHELL, PHILADELPHIA EAGLES

  • Mitchell had a career-high five passed defensed and allowed two receptions for six yards on nine targets in the Eagles’ 31-25 win over Tampa Bay. Per Next Gen Stats, he allowed a passer rating of 39.6 when targeted in Week 4, the lowest mark this season among any defender targeted nine-or-more times in a single game.

  • This is the first-career Defensive Player of the Week Award for Mitchell, becoming the fifth Eagles defensive back to win the award in the past 10 seasons [most recently: C.J. Gardner-Johnson (Week 17, 2024)].
  • Mitchell becomes the first former Toledo player to win a Defensive Player of the Week award.

SPECIAL TEAMS: DB JOSH BLACKWELL, CHICAGO BEARS

  • Blackwell blocked Las Vegas’ potential game-winning 54-yard field goal attempt with 38 seconds remaining in the fourth quarter in the Bears’ 25-24 win at the Raiders.
  • This is the second-career Special Teams Player of the Week Award for Blackwell, previously winning the award in Week 18 of the 2024 season.
  • Blackwell becomes the second former Duke player to win multiple Special Teams Player of the Week Awards, joining Jamison Crowder (two-time winner).
