THE VILLE FALLS TO SIDELINE CANCER IN ROUND TWO
The Ville’s run in TBT ended prematurely this year, as the Louisville alumni team lost to Sideline Cancer 73-63. In their matchup last year, Jermaine Marrow missed a wide-open three that would’ve given Sideline Cancer the victory. Instead, The Ville won 71-69. Marrow got his revenge this year, hitting back-to-back threes in the Elam Ending, including the game winner, to sink the hometown team. Sideline Cancer led by as many as 25 points before The Ville went on a run, cutting the deficit to seven before the Elam Ending. However, it wasn’t enough to knock off the #4 seed Sideline Cancer. Marrow led Sideline Cancer with 20 points. Montrezl Harrell led all scorers with 21 points. Malik Williams contributed 12 points off the bench.
