Community Impact
Dlo week is a week-long community events outside of just the basketball camp. Russell started off the week running with a Louisville based run club called the Pit Stop Runners. He gave away water bottles, shirts, motivational wrist bands, energy drinks, and healthy snacks. Camp DLo is a platform to give back to the city that raised him. The camp, provides a rare chance for local youth to connect with professional athletes in a meaningful, mentorship-driven environment.
At the end of the camp there will be a celebrity basketball game with former Louisville Cardinals players and local musicians. To close out the week he will have DLo day. This day will include local vendors and community members. Families interested in Camp DLo can register online through the official Camp DLo website or the MidAmerica Sports Center website. Early registration is encouraged, as the camp fills quickly each year.
