Media Guidelines for 2024 NFL Flag Championships Presented by Toyota

NEW YORK — July 17, 2024 — The NFL Flag Championships presented by Toyota, the world’s premiere youth flag football tournament, from July 18-21, takes place at the Hall of Fame Village in Canton, Ohio.  The championships will feature 280 NFL Flag regional winning teams of girls and boys and six international teams. ESPN, Disney, and the NFL will bring fans exciting action throughout the event, with coverage spanning 10 different platforms.

Fans register for free access to the NFL Flag Championships by downloading the NFL OnePass app (Andriod / IOS) or on the web at NFL.com/flagaccess. Fans can download the NFL OnePass app to receive digital content and can enter for a chance to win exclusive prizes.  Please note important information below regarding media contacts, media requests, media entry during operational and non-operational hours, and parking.

Credential Information:

NFL-issued credentials are required to cover NFL Flag Championships, you’ll need to bring official press credentials / identification (issued by your organization) and a government-issued photo I.D. to the NFL Flag Championship media check-in desk located at the main entry to ForeverLawn Field Sports Complex (2333 17th St NW, Canton, OH 44708). Please note: the media check-in desk is staffed during NFL Flag Championships operational hours only.

Credentials

Media interested in attending any portion of the NFL Flag Championships will need a credential. For information, please email EventCredentialHelp@nfl.com.

Media Entrance to NFL Flag Championships: All media requesting to enter the facility during non-operational hours (for live shots or tours), must submit a written request via email no less than 24 HOURS IN ADVANCE. PLEASE NOTE THAT IF YOU DO NOT GIVE PRIOR NOTICE, WE MAY NOT BE ABLE TO ACCOMMODATE YOUR REQUEST. 

Media members covering NFL Flag Championships will be issued an NFL Flag Championship Media wristband each day of coverage as confirmation for security and staff of your approved entry. Please be prepared to show this to staff while touring the NFL Draft Experience.

Directions for entry and your on-site contact will be provided once your request has been reviewed and approved. Entry instructions for each are provided below:

Live Shots:  Media will be permitted to go live for standups within the NFL Experience footprint.

All requests for live shots must be submitted in writing at least 24 hours in advance and should include the dates and times of all shots and the names of all people needing access to NFL Experience.   Media are encouraged to schedule live shots as far in advance as possible.

Media requests will begin to be accommodated starting Thursday 7/19.

Broadcast Media Connectivity and Restrictions During NFL Flag Broadcast Window: Television/Broadcast media are required to utilize wireless transmission packs while covering NFL Flag Championships. Fiber/Cable runs from the live-truck parking area into NFL Experience are NOT permitted. Please coordinate RF Coordination for Media at NFL Flag Championships in advance at https://efc.nfl.net/.

Broadcast exclusivity rights restrict media from having NFL Flag activities visible in their live shots beginning two (2) hours prior to game starts each day. NO element of the NFL Flag Championships can be captured LIVE beginning on the ESPN fields:

·                Friday, July 19th at 8 a.m. ET

·                Saturday, July 20th at 8 a.m. ET

·                Sunday, July 21st at 8 a.m. ET

Media may continue coverage within the flag championship footprint as long as NO element of the championship is captured.

Media Parking:

Media parking is limited and not all requests can be accommodated. Media will park in the Unity Lot from July 17-22. Lot address: 2333 18th St. NW, Canton, OH 44708

Ways to Watch

ESPN will broadcast 32 hours of live coverage of the highly competitive and much-anticipated 18U girls and 15U boys single elimination tournaments across the three-day championship event, with six hours on linear television each day.
