Alongside him, defensive rookie sensation Will Anderson Jr. emerged as a formidable force, bolstering Houston’s defense.

With offseason acquisitions such as Stefon Diggs and Joe Mixon adding depth to the roster, the Texans are poised to build on their previous success and mount a serious challenge for their first-ever Super Bowl appearance. The Indianapolis Colts faced adversity in 2023 due to injuries to key players like quarterback Anthony Richardson and running back Jonathan Taylor, narrowly missing out on the playoffs. Despite the setbacks, Richardson’s early displays of dual-threat prowess showcased his potential impact when fully healthy. The Colts are banking on a rejuvenated lineup and a focus on core players to emerge as surprise contenders in the AFC.

With their sights set on a fully operational offense, Indianapolis aims to navigate a competitive division and reclaim their spot among the league’s elite. Despite those key injuries, the Colts were only one win away from a playoff berth last year. If Richardson and Taylor can stay on the field together this season, then the Colts will be a dark horse contender in the AFC this year.

The Jacksonville Jaguars showed promise early in the 2023 season but faltered down the stretch, ultimately falling short of playoff contention. Central to their 2024 ambitions is quarterback Trevor Lawrence’s ability to minimize turnovers and capitalize on his immense talent. Supported by a revamped receiving corps and led by a seasoned coaching staff, including a Super Bowl-winning head coach. Lawrence is poised to lead the Jaguars back into contention for divisional dominance.

Jacksonville’s determination to tighten their game and execute under pressure sets the stage for a compelling season ahead. Going forward Lawrence has a Super Bowl winning head coach, an elite running back, and a revamped receiving core with newly drafted Brian Thomas Jr. and Gabe Davis. If Lawrence can limit his turnovers, this team has the tools to be a real threat in the AFC this season.

He is supported by seasoned veterans such as De’Andre Hopkins, Calvin Ridley, and Tyler Boyd. The Titans aim to reshape their offense under new head coach Brian Callahan. Despite the loss of star running back Derrick Henry, Tennessee enters 2024 with a revamped roster and renewed vigor.

They are eyeing a rapid ascent from their recent struggles. These changes are all under the new leadership of the former offensive coordinator for the Cincinnati Bengals, Brian Callahan. If Levis can utilize his new tools, then the Titans could go from worst to first in the AFC South.

As the AFC South gears up for the 2024 season, each team brings renewed optimism. The stage is set for a thrilling journey filled with breakout performances, hard-fought battles, and defining moments that will shape the landscape of professional football.
