Throughout weeks one to ten, the Birmingham Stallions witnessed numerous players rise to the occasion, leaving a lasting impact on the field. These contributions were instrumental in Birmingham achieving the best record in the league. However, it’s with the unveiling of the 2024 All-UFL honors that these stars receive official recognition. Each player’s unique achievements have solidified their names in the league.

The most eagerly anticipated among them was former Detroit Lion, Adrian Martinez. Initially sharing snaps with Matt Corral, Martinez’s unwavering passion for the game propelled him into the starting role. The frontrunner for MVP concluded the regular season with an impressive 2,277 yards, 18 touchdowns, and just three interceptions. Beyond the numbers, Martinez became synonymous with the Stallions’ success, both on and off the field, earning him the title of the league’s top quarterback.
Jace Sternberger, a mismatch nightmare, also secured a spot on the All-UFL offense. Despite a slow start, he became a game-changer with numerous crucial plays, solidifying his position as the league’s premier tight end. Sternberger rounded off his standout season with 25 receptions, 454 yards, and four touchdowns. Additionally, Zack Johnson, the stalwart guard, earned well-deserved recognition for his exceptional leadership of the offensive line throughout the season.

Among the Stallions, two standout players emerged as contenders for Defensive Player of the Year, both finding their names on the All-UFL honors list. Carlos Davis ranked in the top three in sacks with seven, while A.J. Thomas led the league in interceptions with three. These stellar performances were vital to Birmingham’s success throughout the year, and their impact is now rightfully acknowledged worldwide. However, one glaring omission from these honors was star defensive end Taco Charleton.
His consistent energy and leadership, coupled with his stellar on-field performance, were invaluable to the team. Amassing six sacks and five tackles for loss in ten weeks is no small feat, yet Charleton, a former Dallas Cowboy, achieved it effortlessly. Despite being a cornerstone of the Stallions’ 9-1 record, his contributions have been repeatedly overlooked. His snub serves as a wake-up call for the world to recognize his invaluable role. It’s high time Charleton receives the credit he deserves as one of the linchpins of Birmingham’s success.
