Arkansas fans erupted as Battle opened the scoring for the Razorbacks with a crucial three-pointer, igniting a momentum-shifting 15-2 run. His precision shooting and timely baskets were instrumental in maintaining Arkansas’ lead throughout the game. However, it was Battle’s second-half heroics that stole the spotlight. With 15 consecutive points, Battle showcased his ability to take over a game, including a clutch three-point play to give the Razorbacks a decisive lead.
Remarkably, Battle’s flawless performance extended beyond scoring, as he went a perfect 14-14 from the charity stripe, solidifying his place as one of the SEC’s elite players. Not to be overshadowed, Missouri’s Sean East II delivered a commendable performance with 33 points, while Nick Honor added 14 points, including crucial three-pointers in the first half. Battle’s exceptional outing marks only the second time this season that an SEC player has scored 40 or more points in a game, joining the ranks of Texas A&M guard Wade Taylor IV.
