He’s one the most formidable pitchers in baseball history. He’s a former National League Most Valuable Player and selected to 10 All-Star teams. He has clinched the prestigious Cy Young Award three times and has celebrated a World Series victory. With a lifetime ERA of 2.48, Kershaw’s prowess on the mound is undeniable.
His exceptional 157 ERA+ rating positions him as the second-highest in the American and National Leagues history among pitchers with at least 1,000 innings. He trails only Mariano Rivera of the New York Yankees, whose ERA+ stands at 205. Kershaw’s return promises to bolster the Dodgers’ pitching rotation, adding depth and experience to the team’s quest for continued success on the diamond.
