Meet Our Big 10/Ohio State University Intern

I have always had, ever since I was a kid, a strong-rooted passion for sports. I played football, basketball, soccer, and baseball throughout my elementary school tenure. I also had a strong passion for storytelling at a young age. I’ve written many short stories and started writing many novels in elementary school and middle school, and that carried through high school as well, and even parts of university as well. I really enjoy telling stories and getting to know more about people through their own stories as well, and I feel that sports journalism allows me to tell stories in a particular field that I am very passionate about.

My favorite sport at the moment is American football. I have always had a strong love for American football ever since I was a kid and have really grown a strong love for the sport and all of the intricacies that accompany it. Having played football with my family and as part of an organized team has also been instrumental as to why American football is my favorite sport.

My favorite sports moment has to be the 2016 regular season game between the Steelers and the Ravens in which Antonio Brown extended the ball across the goal line to cement a victory for the Steelers. Dubbed the ‘Immaculate Extension’, that play capped off a great game between two heated rivals and sealed a division title for the Pittsburgh Steelers.

I don’t really have a favorite genre of music per se, but I do enjoy a healthy amount of rock and rap. I like many different genres of music and don’t really have a strong pull for any certain genre.

My favorite hobbies include reading, writing, and hiking. I have always loved reading and writing, and have read many different genres of books as well as written many different genres of literature as well. Hiking is a newly-adopted hobby, as I enjoy exploring nature and just going for a walk as well.
