UCLA proudly embraced the arrival of Dante Moore, an immediately-eligible true freshman quarterback and the standout jewel of the Bruins’ 2023 signing class. Hailing from Detroit’s Martin Luther King High School, Moore secured the position as the third-best quarterback and the fourth overall prospect in the 2023 recruiting class. His recruitment was a triumph for UCLA and coach Chip Kelly, successfully flipping the highly-regarded recruit from Oregon in December 2022.
Moore’s entry signified a pivotal moment for UCLA, not only making him the highest-ranked quarterback signee in the Kelly era but also marking the first five-star recruit under his leadership. Excitement was palpable as Moore brought his exceptional talents to the Bruins’ roster, promising a luminous future for the program. Instead, he now leaves the program and will look to join a new team for the upcoming season.
